THE BASICS
WHAT IS GOLD STANDARD FOR THE GLOBAL GOALS
Gold Standard for the Global Goals is a standard that sets requirements to design projects for maximum positive impact in climate and development — and to measure and report outcomes in the most credible and efficient way.
It customises safeguards, requirements, and methodologies to measure and verify impact on a wide range of activities — from climate protection projects seeking to issue carbon credits to corporate supply chain interventions to national or subnational programmes looking for the most credible claims for their impact reporting.

TRAINIG RESOURCES
Between July 2024 and April 2025, Gold Standard coordinated a pilot ‘Carbon Market Training Network’ supported by the Germany Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate (BMWK), through the programme Enabling National Ownership in a High-Integrity Carbon Market.
The objective of the pilot was to support organisations already engaged in training local stakeholders by providing high-quality materials focused on their priority areas. Five organisations participated in the pilot and five priority topics were chosen. A standard set of materials was produced for each topic. A summary of the resources produced is given here below.
